2016 Exponent Philanthropy National Conference in Chicago: Come Say Hello!

Are you heading to the 2016 Exponent Philanthropy Conference? We'll be there, and would love to connect with other small-staffed foundations who might be attending. Be sure to look for our Program Officer at the following panels:

Up Close and Personal: The Art of Site Visits

Monday, September 24th, 3:15pm

Site visits can provide philanthropists with valuable information about their grantees and the causes they support, and can cultivate positive relationships between funders and nonprofits. This session explores the best ways to approach a site visit, including when to conduct them, how to determine who to send, and what to keep in mind during visits so they are efficient and productive. Speakers: Kerry McHugh, The Helen J. Serini Foundation, Frederick, MD; Sasha Rabsey, HOW Fund, Orinda, CA

Closing Luncheon Plenary

Wednesday, September 26th, 12:00pm

Our conference closes this afternoon with lunch and a keynote speaker. Don’t leave Chicago without sharing what you’ve learned with colleagues during this final plenary gathering. Speaker: Stacy Palmer, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, Washington, DC with Kerry McHugh, The Helen J. Serini Foundation, Frederick, MD, and Deana Singh, Burke Foundation, Milwaukee, WI

And one of our board members, Alex Serini, will be part of the group of Next Gen Fellows hosting the Next Gen convening in Chicago on Monday evening:
